This may notify clinicians as a pop-up in the electronic health record, a flag next to the patient on a ward list or a message/bleep to a mobile phone or bleeper. | |
| Answer To Question 4: Sepsis screening is linked to the NEWS2 score which is recorded electronically. The practitioner is prompted to consider sepsis if patients scores 5 and above or a single parameter 3. On the doctors screen the prompt appears again to remind them to commence the paper pathway | |
