Question Number 1:
Please provide the following information in full for the years 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023. (Please note that I use the term 'borderline personality disorder' but would also like stats for 'emotionally unstable personality disorder' if that is the diagnostic term your trust uses.)

Please provide your trust policy for borderline personality disorder diagnosis and treatment.

Answer To Question 1:
We are not funded to treat Borderline Personality Disorder, as such the Trust does not hold a policy in relation to treatment. Please see answer to Q6.

Answer To Question 5:

Question Number 6:
How many patients/service users with borderline personality disorder require in-patient care and what is the cost of this?

Answer To Question 6:
Salisbury hospital is an acute ¿´Æ¬Èí¼þ Trust and as such treats physical as opposed to mental health issues. While some of our patients may have a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder, this is not the condition for which they are admitted to the hospital. Only two patients have been admitted to hospital with this diagnosis in 2023 and in each case they were treated for physical injuries rather than the BPD condition. The question would be more appropriately directed at the local mental health trust: Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership.

Question Number 7:
Does the trust provide dialectical behaviour therapy? If so, please provide the numbers of patients/service users who have used this service. If not, is there a plan to implement this treatment?

Answer To Question 7:
We are not funded to treat Borderline Personality Disorder. Please see answer to Q6.

Question Number 8:
How many suicides of patients diagnosed with borderline personality disorder have there been each year?

Answer To Question 8:
Please see response to Q3.

Question Number 9:
How many complaints have been lodged in relation to borderline personality disorder treatment?

Answer To Question 9:
0 (zero)
