Do you have a Sexual Safety policy in place that covers assaults on patients by staff?
 
Answer To Question 2:
The Trust are waiting for the ¿´Æ¬Èí¼þ National Sexual Safety Policy to released which was held in the pre election period , the Trust have an Allegation Against staff policy that includes sexual abuse. If an allegation is made a safeguarding huddle is convened with the Chief Nurse and Chief Medical Officer or one of their deputies in their absence.

Does the policy also explicitly address the sexual abuse of older people?
 
Answer To Question 3:
The Trust have not received it yet to answer this question, but we will review and amend it to include this with our dementia team

Have staff received training on dealing with sexual abuse against people with dementia?

They receive dementia care training and adult safeguarding training ; safeguarding training includes sexual abuse as one of the key topics .

Safeguarding training is mandatory for all staff and is undertaken in the induction period. Dementia care training is targeted to the staff most providing care on the wards.
