Secondary Surgery

Complex limb trauma can result in difficult post-operative issues, including pain, wound breakdown, loss of function, and prosthetic problems. Patients can be referred to our combined orthoplastic clinic for assessment, or the War injuries clinic for serving military personnel or veterans.

ELECTIVE PLASTIC SURGERY

We offer a broad range of elective plastic surgery:

  • Abdominal wall reconstruction
  • Adult hand surgery
  • Breast surgery, including reconstruction following breast cancer
  • Congenital hand surger
  • Head and Neck surgery
  • Massive weight loss surgery
  • Skin surgery
  • Vascular lesions

Please be aware that many plastic surgery procedures require prior funding approval from the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), which is applied for by the referring GP.

Our staff at Salisbury District Hospital have long been well regarded for the quality of care and treatment they provide for our patients and for their innovation, commitment and professionalism. This has been recognised in a wide range of achievements and it is reflected in our award of ¿´Æ¬Èí¼þ Foundation Trust status. This is afforded to hospitals that provide the highest standards of care.
